a wild place to sow medicine words.
hello, beautiful human. This is Alison Wood, LAc of Abalone Medicine.
I have a Chinese medicine clinic & old-world apothecary in a sweet little Pacific coastal village, where I share house-made herbal remedies, acupuncture and other therapeutic treatments, classes and groups.
I offer medicine of re-wilding our health, connecting us to the ancient modern truth that we are nature, our bodies don’t lie, and that is our way in to healing.
I want to connect with you around the poetry of true and ancient medicine, practical alchemy and healing wisdom that works. Around reclaiming our place as creatures of the living earth, sovereign to our own sacred bodies, radically self-responsible and deeply invested in each other’s thriving. Animist Alchemy is a borderless land - no passports, no concrete, no us or them. Just wild water, bare feet, soft paths, good storms, nourished roots, and full-body sighs of relief.
I’ll write you once every week or two, ish.
I will keep a steady flow of musings and offers... they’ll lean towards poetic, honest, off-the-cuff, and relevant to your own daily work of being ever more healthy and vital.
I will tell you about my forays into embodied healing and animist alchemy. I’ll let you know ways you can work with me and share ideas about how you can deepen your self-healing at home. I will let you know about my handmade herbal medicine… my classes, groups, clinical practice, packages… my process, my teachers, my roots.
